Make a Difference on #GivingTuesday
Today, #GivingTuesday, officially kicks off the charitable season. This global movement of generosity unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. This #GivingTuesday, we’re asking you to help us keep our dance programs and community building strong and consider a donation, small or large, to our End of Year Giving Campaign.
Despite the challenges of 2022, Chamberlain Ballet successfully:
Produced and staged our annual Community Outreach Performance which provided underserved elementary school students and individuals with special needs the opportunity to showcase their talent and share their love of dance with the community.
Created and premiered a new relevant ballet by our own alumna, Parisa Khobdeh, called Imprimatura that was the capstone piece for our Creates: 2022 showcase.
Another uniquely Chamberlain offering is a dance and audience development initiative which provides free tickets to the youth called Community Connections. This year our very own Relevé families and Hope Kids got to experience the magic of The Nutcracker for themselves.
Partnered with Rosa es Rojo, a wellness charity that helps Latina women fight cancer, CB gave them the experience of dance Thanksgiving weekend that came at no cost to them.
Launched Chamberlain Ballet Creates - an online series that showcases creative talents of Chamberlain Ballet’s company members with mentorship from the artists of Bruce Wood Dance.
The Honorable Mayor John Muns of the City of Plano made a city proclamation on opening night an official Ms. Kathy Chamberlain Day!
Don’t Miss our upcoming holiday performances this December!
Nutcracker excerpts at NorthPark Center, December 3rd at 12PM. Stage is located between Nordstrom and Macy’s, use North Park mall entrance near Kona Grill on Park Lane.
Don’t miss our very own alumna and Broadway star, Candice Marie Woods, perform a holiday medley during our holiday presentation at Galleria Dallas, December 10 at 1pm. Performance on Level 1 near Sephora and see our dancers as live mannequins at Forever 21 between 2-3PM.
