Chamberlain Ballet is seeking a Relevé Dance Instructor to lead weekly after-school dance classes as part of its arts education outreach programming.
Relevé provides free weekly dance classes to children in underserved communities. The instructor will follow an established dance curriculum and lead one-hour classes focused on ballet technique. This role is ideal for an experienced, energetic dance educator who is comfortable teaching groups of up to 20 children, ages 6–11.
Classes currently take place Monday through Thursday from 2:45–4:15pm and follow the Plano School District academic calendar. The instructor must be available to teach these class times on a weekly basis throughout the school year.
Ideal candidates should have at least two years of teaching experience, a background in ballet and other dance styles, and the ability to create a fun, focused, and supportive classroom environment. Experience in elementary education is helpful, and bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
