Chamberlain Ballet is a PROUD Resiliency Grant recipient from TACA!
TACA Resiliency Initiative
Adapting and Building for the Arts
Chamberlain Ballet is so very thankful to the generous support extended to us from our dear friends at TACA. As announced recently, Chamberlain Ballet is among the recipients of The Arts Community Alliance’s first round of Resiliency Grants.
It’s no stretch to say 2020 has been a trying year for us and many, if not all, of our friends and family in the North Texas arts community. Through the pandemic, we’ve been stopped from performing and creating art with past traditional means of expression. For example, we’ve had to cancel our acclaimed performance of The Nutcracker, set to feature New York City Ballet’s Tiler Peck and Tyler Angle. However, Chamberlain Ballet is proud to be busting through these obstacles.
We have already staged a small, COVID safe, Resiliency 2020 production weekend, complete with a popup performance tour of local Texas Health Presbyterian Hospitals. Our streamlined version of The Nutcracker entitled The Nutcracker Sweets will be performed at the Galleria Dallas Nordstrom on Saturday, November 21st, and we are SO SO SO excited to kick off our Chamberlain Ballet: Creates program with Bruce Wood Dance. Our wonderful company members will be paired with BWD company members as they are mentored through the creation of their own NEW compositions. The resulting process will be filmed, edited, and premiered online as digital performances and an accompanying vlog series. Our budding dancemakers are bursting with talent, and their fellow company members will paint their visions with them on the stage. Make SURE you are following us on instagram, facebook, and youtube. We have so many exciting plans for the upcoming months, all brought to you in part by TACA.
THANK YOU TACA!
